Catz earned SM-sarja Bronze medals after they rallied past PeKa. The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. Peli-Karhut was better in fourth quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Catz Lappeenranta held Peli-Karhut to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Catz Lappeenranta had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Catz Lappeenranta especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Russian power forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. American Chandrea Jones (177-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Akilah Sims (178-94, college: IUPUI) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Amanda Lassiter (186-79, college: Missouri) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Peli-Karhut. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
