Regular Season Round 27: GS Larissas - Doukas 71-111

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Doukas (22-4) smashed on the road 15th ranked GS Larissas (5-22) 111-71 on Wednesday. Doukas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to GS Larissas' 32. Doukas forced 19 GS Larissas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by GS Larissas' players. The best player for the winners was guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) who scored 20 points. Swingman Giannis Molfetas (194-92) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Doukas players scored in double figures. Doukas' coach Savvas Simeonidis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sotiris Gioulekas (203-79) who recorded 25 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Anastasios Spyropoulos (204-95, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Doukas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 22-4 record having just three points less than leader Iraklis. GS Larissas lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Doukas will face Kavala (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GS Larissas will play against Ethnikos in Piraeus and hope to win that game.
