Regular Season Round 21: Tokyo Cinq R. - Saitama Bron. 76-77

The most exciting game of round 21 in the B League D3 took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (15-23) to seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (13-25) 77-76 on Friday evening. It was a good game for American forward Tiras Wade (200-81, college: La-Lafayette) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Jennings is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Josiah Heath (205-93, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Kodai Takahashi (180-91) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saitama Broncos maintains seventh place with 13-25 record. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side keeps the fifth position with 23 games lost. Saitama Broncos are looking forward to face higher ranked Tokyo HT (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
