Regular Season Round 28: Innova Chef - Seis do Nadal 87-74

Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Innova Chef (10-15) won against bottom-ranked Seis do Nadal (0-25) in Zamora 87-74 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-74. Innova Chef outrebounded Seis do Nadal 53-21 including a 26-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Gabriel Roman (185-97) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Innova Chef's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Miguel Paz (193) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Alexandre Teijeiro (197-94) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Seis do Nadal. Five Innova Chef and four Seis do Nadal players scored in double figures. Innova Chef moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B. Newly promoted Seis do Nadal still closes the standings with 25 games lost. Innova Chef will face higher ranked Rosalia (#9) in Santiago de Camp. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Seis do Nadal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vigo Vigo VGO.
