Regular Season Round 28: JAC Sants - Barna 60-56

Everything could happen in Barcelona at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked JAC Sants and 10th ranked Barna had identical 10-14 record. This time JAC Sants used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Barcelona 60-56 on Saturday night. JAC Sants outrebounded Barna 44-24 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Ferran Mas (193-97) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Forward Sergi Marco (194-91) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Marc Rabaseda (182-93) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Bartu Martinez (187-91) added 10 points in the effort for Barna. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. JAC Sants (11-14) moved-up to tenth place in Group C-A, which they share with Sant Nicolau. Newly promoted Barna dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. JAC Sants will face higher ranked Castellbisbal (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Barna will play against Santfeliuenc (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
