Regular Season Round 30: Cassino - Teramo 94-70

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Cassino (21-9) smashed at home 11th ranked Teramo (14-16) 94-70 on Saturday. Cassino dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Teramo's 32 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Teramo 41-25 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Teramo's players. Teramo was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Gianluca Valesin (193-92) chipped in 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Daniele Tomasello (205-93) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and guard Simone Salamina (188-88) scored 12 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Cento. Newly promoted Teramo dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost.
