Regular Season Round 28: Leon - Rosalia 93-86

Very expected game when 9th ranked Rosalia (12-13) lost on the road to fourth ranked Leon (17-8) 93-86 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rosalia won third quarter 25-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Leon won last quarter 33-28. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American Ted Hinnenkamp (201-93, college: Dickinson, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jose-Antonio Lopez (190-96) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Leon's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Alfonso Mallo (200-88) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Rosalia. Five Rosalia players scored in double figures. Leon moved-up to third place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. Loser Rosalia keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Leon will face Estudiantes L. (#3) in Lugo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rosalia will play at home against Innova Chef (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
