Regular Season Round 28: Valladolid Univ. - Easo 64-75

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Valladolid Univ. (15-10) lost at home to fourth ranked Easo (18-7) 75-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Easo. Valladolid Univ. was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for point guard Inigo Del-Valle (188-87) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Xabier Beraza (195-99) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Easo players scored in double figures. Forward Axel Castillo (194-88) replied with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Valladolid Univ.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Easo moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Santurtzi. Loser Valladolid Univ. keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Easo will face Zarautz Ulacia (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Valladolid Univ. will play against TAKE Tolosa (#12) and hope to win that game.
