Important game to mention about took place in East Burwood. Second ranked Spectres (3-2) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Lady Braves (1-1) 60-59 on Sunday evening. Lady Braves were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Georgia Stirton (173, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Spectres' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Chloe Bibby (184-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Carlie Smith added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Spectres keep a position of League leader. Loser Lady Braves keep the fourth place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
