We should mention about the upset which took place in Sorgues, where higher ranked Rueil (19-15) lost to fourteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (15-19) in a road game 93-102. The hosts were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 30-24 last quarter charge of Rueil cut the lead to 102-93 at the end of the game. SAP Vaucluse made 27-of-31 charity shots (87.1 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Rueil helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) notched 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) supported him with 21 points. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. SAP Vaucluse's coach Sylvain Lautie allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 29 points and 7 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) by point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) did not help to save the game for Rueil. Forward Karim Gourari (204-89) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four SAP Vaucluse and five Rueil players scored in double figures. SAP Vaucluse maintains fourteenth position with 15-19 record. Rueil at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost.
