Leader Hapoel Eilat delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-16) 91-84. It looked good early as Hapoel Tel-Aviv took a 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Eilat took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 7 points. American point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 18 points for the winners. International Tomer Ginat (202-94) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Four Hapoel Eilat and five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat (19-10) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place, which they share with Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Tel-Aviv lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Hapoel Eilat will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#4) at home in the next round. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Galil Gilboa (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
