Quarter-Finals Round 1: Lucentum - Valladolid 76-71

Lucentum held off Valladolid for the opening win. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Blancos de Rueda won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Meridiano Alicante especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Power forward Guillermo Rejon (206-77) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) accounted for 19 points. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Blancos de Rueda in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
