There was a small surprise in Wuerzburg where fourteenth ranked s Oliver Baskets (11-21) defeated 12th ranked Science City Jena (12-19) 90-83 on Friday. s Oliver Baskets made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Science City Jena was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: HMS) who scored 28 points. Point guard Jake Odum (193-91, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Shaquille Goodwin (206-94, college: Memphis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) added 22 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
