Regular Season Round 29: Enel Brindisi - Betaland Cdo 87-75

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Betaland Cdo (14-15) lost on the road to ninth ranked Enel Brindisi (14-15) 87-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Enel Brindisi. Betaland Cdo managed to win third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Betaland Cdo 38-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Senegalese-French forward Amath MBaye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Croatian power forward Mario Delas (207-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Polish swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) added 20 points respectively for Betaland Cdo in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Enel Brindisi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with The Flexx PT and Betaland Cdo. Betaland Cdo lost sixth consecutive game. Enel Brindisi will meet league's second-placed Umana Venezia on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Betaland Cdo will play against VL Pesaro (#15) and hope to secure a win.
