The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Grissin Bon RE's (17-12) home victory over 7th ranked The Flexx PT (14-15) in Reggio Emilia 77-68 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But The Flexx PT won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International Amedeo Della-Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) nailed 27 points for the winning side and international forward Achille Polonara (203-91) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds. American Michael Jenkins (193-86, college: Winthrop) came up with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Nathan Boothe (206-94, college: Toledo) added 12 points respectively for The Flexx PT in the defeat. The Flexx PT's coach Vincenzo Esposito tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Grissin Bon RE moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Dolomiti En. TR. Loser The Flexx PT keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Enel Brindisi and Betaland Cdo. Grissin Bon RE will meet bottom-ranked Vanoli Cremona (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. The Flexx PT will play against Brescia (#11) and hope to secure a win.
