Regular Season Round 30: Start Lublin - Siarka 79-88

Bottom-ranked Siarka managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Start in Lublin 88-79. Siarka shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) notched 30 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Alex Welsh (200-94, college: Colorado Springs) supported him with 27 points. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) by American power forward Jason Boone (203-85, college: New York U., agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Start. His fellow American import guard Doug Wiggins (183-88, college: Mountain St.) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Start players scored in double figures. Start's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Siarka (5-27) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Polfarmex Kutno. Start lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 24 games lost.
