Regular Season Round 60: Fukushima - Cyberdyne IR 67-69

A very close game took place in Fukushima between Cyberdyne IR and Fukushima. Third ranked Cyberdyne IR (30-28) got a very close victory on the road over second-best Fukushima (30-28). Cyberdyne IR managed to escape with a 2-point win 69-67 in the fight for the second place. Cyberdyne IR outrebounded Fukushima 42-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) did not help to save the game for Fukushima. Center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Fukushima. Cyberdyne IR will meet at home Iwate Big Bulls (#6) in the next round. Fukushima will play against Aomori Watts (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
