BC Lulea outgunned Sodertalje to secure the first victory in the championship series. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-77. 26 personal fouls committed by Sodertalje Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: N.Arizona) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international point guard Thomas Massamba (183-85, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and American guard Darien Brothers (190-91, college: Richmond) scored 18 points.
