Semi-Finals Game 1: Sokhumi - Mgzavrebi 96-65

The game was mostly controlled by Sokhumi. Mgzavrebi was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sokhumi dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Mgzavrebi's 46. Sokhumi had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dwayne Lathan (190-89, college: Indiana St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Rob Woodson (180, college: Grand Valley St., agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. Sokhumi's coach Nugzar Cheishvili felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Darnell Taylor (193-91, college: CS San Marcos) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Corey Allen (185-92, college: S.Florida) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Mgzavrebi.
