Semi-Finals Game 1: Al Riyadi - Byblos 99-77

Al Riyadi knocked down Byblos in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Al Riyadi. Byblos was better in fourth quarter 28-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Al Riyadi outrebounded Byblos 45-34 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Mohamad Haidar (201-90, college: Michigan Tech) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. French power forward Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Byblos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
