Regular Season Round 30: L Alfas - Paterna 76-48

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 30 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Paterna (13-13). They were crushed by second ranked L Alfas (13-12) 76-48 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group E Descen. The game without a history. L Alfas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Paterna's 26. They outrebounded Paterna 37-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when L Alfas made 9 blocks. Guard Alberto Ramon (186-98) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Alejandro Rivas (203-98) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four L Alfas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Jose-Maria Garcia (192-78) with 13 points and center Alberto Valero (200-91) scored 10 points. L Alfas keeps a position of Group E Descen leader. Paterna at the other side dropped to the second place with 13 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Chantada.
