The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Bucaneros maintains second position with 15-14 record having nine points less than leader Guaiqueries which they share with defeated Guaros. Defending champion Guaros dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. Bucaneros will face Marinos (#4) in Puerto La Cruz in the next round. Guaros will play at home against the league's leader Cocodrilos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
