Semi-Finals Game 3: Souffel - Lourdes 87-77

Souffel saw off Lourdes to reach the title series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-77. Souffelweyersheim dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lourdes-Tarbes' 26. They outrebounded Lourdes-Tarbes 36-21 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Swingman Fabien Ateba (192-91) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Ludovic Vaty (206-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) answered with 21 points and Lithuanian power forward Mantas Virbalas (202-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lourdes-Tarbes. Five Souffelweyersheim and four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures.
