A very close game took place in Puerto Varas between Aleman and Stadio Italiano. Sixth ranked Aleman (2-3) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Stadio Italiano (1-4). Aleman managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Aleman looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Marko Castro (192-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Francisco Garrido (-88) chipped in 9 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Aleman's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. N Alba responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian Juan-Martin Cardenas (-91) scored 17 points and 8 assists. Aleman moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Arturo Prat. Stadio Italiano lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. Aleman will meet league's leader Puente Alto on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stadio Italiano will play against Brisas (#4) and hope to win that game.
