Rather predictable result when second ranked Guaros (17-6) rolled over 4th placed Toros (8-18) in Barquisimeto 114-92 on Sunday. Guaros looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Nate Robinson (175-84, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 8 assists. International center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Guaros players scored in double figures. International guard Elder Gimenez (186-91) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American-Peruvian point guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Toros. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Guaros. Defending champion maintains second place with 17-6 record having five points less than leader Guaiqueries. Toros lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 18 games lost.
