An interesting game for Trotamundos (17-9) which hosted in Valencia 4th placed Gigantes (12-14). Third ranked Trotamundos had an easy win 104-53. Trotamundos shot 61.4 percent from the field. Trotamundos outrebounded Gigantes 43-24 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Trotamundos players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gigantes' players. 24 personal fouls committed by Gigantes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Ricardo Powell (199-83, college: S.Carolina) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International center Javinger Vargas (202-90) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Horace Wormely (168-84, college: Vanguard) who recorded 15 points and the other American import center Andrew Feeley (206-83, college: UMBC) added 8 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Trotamundos. They maintain third place with 17-9 record having just two points less than leader Guaiqueries. Gigantes lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost.
