Regular Season Round 21: Guaros - Toros 106-83

An interesting game for Guaros (17-6) which hosted in Barquisimeto 4th placed Toros (8-18). Second ranked Guaros had an easy win 106-83. Guaros outrebounded Toros 39-28 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Toros' players. International center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side and international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) accounted for 24 points and 8 assists. American-Peruvian point guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) came up with 23 points and power forward Jesus Martinez (206-86) added 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Toros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Guaros. Defending champion maintains second place with 17-6 record having five points less than leader Guaiqueries. Toros lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 18 games lost.
