The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cimarrones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cimarrones defeated 8th ranked Sabios in Quibdo-Choco 72-58. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Cimarrones's pressure prevailed and they won that period 16-8 extending their advantage to 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cimarrones have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sabios at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Sabios will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Cimarrones will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Sabios in Manizales.
