Nantes outgunned Provence Basket in the opener. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-66. Nantes made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Provence Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (200-88, college: Le Moyne) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) chipped in 26 points. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) produced 10 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giutta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
