Marinos edged Bucaneros on the road to open 3-2 advantage in the series. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Bucaneros won second period 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Marinos won last quarter 29-24. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Bucaneros outrebounded Marinos 42-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. American power forward Christophe Massie (206-77, college: Memphis) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. The former international Michael Carrera (196-93, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 21 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. American swingman Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists and Jamaican-American power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bucaneros. Four Marinos and five Bucaneros players scored in double figures. Bucaneros' coach Ivan Deniz let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
