Quarter-Finals Round 6: Guaiqueries - Gigantes 83-78

Guaiqueries toppled Gigantes to secure the semifinal birth. Gigantes were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 27-17 third quarter run of Guaiqueries. American guard Devan Downey (175-87, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 20 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and the other American import center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Guaiqueries' coach Oscar Silva allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by American center Andrew Feeley (206-83, college: UMBC) did not help to save the game for Gigantes. The former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) added 22 points. Four Guaiqueries and five Gigantes players scored in double figures.
