Regular Season Round 6: Metros STGO - Titanes Licey 109-91

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Metros STGO as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Metros STGO defeated 6th ranked Titanes Licey in Santiago 109-91. The game was mostly controlled by Metros STGO. Titanes Licey managed to win fourth quarter 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Metros STGO shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for point guard Adris De-Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. Guard Nehemias Morillo (196-92, college: S.Florida) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Five Metros STGO players scored in double figures. Naturalized Spanish power forward Edward Santana (203-80) replied with 27 points and 5 assists and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) added 19 points in the effort for Titanes Licey. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros STGO have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Leones SD. Titanes Licey lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Soles SD and Reales LV. Titanes Licey will play next round against Reales LV trying to get back on the winning streak. Metros STGO will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Soles SD in Santo Domingo.
