Regular Season Round 22: Fast Break - Aguilas 85-78

Leader Fast Break delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Patriotas (5-17) 85-78 in Bogota. They outrebounded Patriotas 50-30 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Sneed (196-82, college: Texas Southern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Sneed is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Fast Break's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: Mass.-Lowell) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Patriotas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fast Break (19-1) have an impressive 19-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fast Break maintains first position. Patriotas lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
