Regular Season Round 17: Ipswich F. - Gladstone PCP 104-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Booval where 6th ranked Power (6-5) was outplayed by seventh ranked Force (6-6) 104-83 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Force especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Power's players. Power was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Markel Walker (185-90, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Georgia Williams (183-95, college: Columbia) chipped in 22 points. Four Force players scored in double figures. Force's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Tabatha Richardson-Smith (183, college: Seton Hall) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and the other American import center Cassie Rochel (193-91, college: Wisconsin) added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the guests. Force maintains seventh place in League with 6-6 record. Loser Power keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Force will face Pirates (#9) in Runcorn in the next round.
