Regular Season Round 20: Southern T. - N.Adelaide R. 101-85

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked North Adelaide Rockets (13-4) in Morphett Vale on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (12-5) 101-85. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in League. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and center Jordan Dodman (206-88) who added 15 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. American guard Aric Miller (190-90, college: Armstr.Atlantic) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and swingman Luke Mapunda (194-85) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers maintains second position in League with 12-5 record having just three point less than leader Mackay M. North Adelaide Rockets at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers are looking forward to face Eastern Mavericks (#10) in Mt. Barker in the next round and are hoping to win another game. North Adelaide Rockets will play at home against West Adelaide Bearcats (#4) and are hoping to win this game.
