Regular Season Round 12: Puente Alto - Arturo Prat 84-58

An interesting game for Puente Alto (8-4) which hosted in Puente Alto one of their biggest challengers Arturo Prat (6-6). Third ranked Puente Alto had an easy win 84-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Arturo Prat. Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Arturo Prat's 26. It was a good game for the former international forward Antonio Pinedo (195-94) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Diego Valenzuela (185-94) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Paulo Andrade (174-93) replied with 20 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and Boris Guerra (-87) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Arturo Prat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto maintains third position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Sportiva Italiana. Arturo Prat at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Puente Alto are looking forward to face Aleman (#7) in Puerto Varas in the next round. Arturo Prat will play at home against Sergio Ceppi and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
