The former international power forward Beyckar Aguaslimpias (204-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and Canadian point guard Tyler Murray (195-90, college: Wagner) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Academia players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian guard Shamar Coombs (185-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian guard Ashton Smith (187-89, college: Indiana, PA) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Academia. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-9 record having four points less than leader Fast Break. Sabios lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Piratas. Academia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sabios will play again against the league's second-placed Academia (#2) and hope to secure a win.
