There was a minor upset in Hamilton Hill where 3rd placed Buccaneers (18-7) were outplayed by sixth ranked Cougars (15-9) 116-96 on Sunday. Cougars looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Lochlan Cummings (183, college: Hope International) who scored 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) who recorded 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and American forward Maurice Barrow (196-92, college: Fairfield) added 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cougars moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Buccaneers keep the third position with seven games lost. Cougars will face Suns (#13) in Kalamunda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Buccaneers will play at home against Hawks (#8) and hope to win that game.
