Academia held off Cimarrones to advance into the Finals. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-65. Academia forced 22 Cimarrones turnovers. It was a good game for the former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Simon Granados (182-93) contributed with 9 points and 10 assists for the winners. Four Academia players scored in double figures. Venezuelan Jose Rodriguez (197-94) answered with 27 points and 7 rebounds and Venezuelan-Spanish guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) added 11 points in the effort for Cimarrones.
