Regular Season Round 6: Bauru - Franca 64-65

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Paulista took place in Bauru. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (4-5) to first ranked Vivo/Franca (8-1) 65-64 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. Paschoalotto/Bauru was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 25-16 charge of Vivo/Franca, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Paschoalotto/Bauru helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Argentinian point guard Stefano Pierotti (185-98) added 7 points respectively. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vivo/Franca maintains first position with 8-1 record. Paschoalotto/Bauru at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Vivo/Franca are looking forward to face Pinheiros (#4) in Sao Paolo in the next round. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play on the road against Liga Sorocaba in Sorocabana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
