Al-Muharraq defeated Al-Bahrain in Al Muharraq 84-68. Al-Muharraq shot 24 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Al-Bahrain only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Al-Bahrain 42-22 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Ali-Hassan Shukralla who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds. The former international swingman Mohamed Alderazi (194-80) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Senegalese forward Sidy Sall (206, college: Christian Brothers, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Khalid Ali added 13 points in the effort for Al-Bahrain. Al-Bahrain's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Al-Bahrain will play next round against Sitra trying to get back on the winning streak. Al-Muharraq will try to continue on its current victory against Samaheej in Manama.
