Regular Season Round 3: Al-Hala - Al-Nweidrat 76-83

Al-Hala (2-1) recorded a loss in Muharraq. Hosts were defeated by Al-Nweidrat (2-1) 83-76. Al-Hala was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jawad Abdulla helped adding 21 points. Four Al-Nweidrat players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Lebanese center Loren Woods (218-78, college: Arizona) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds and Hasan Gerashi scored 15 points. Al-Hala's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al-Nweidrat will play against Al-Najma (#3) in Manama in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Al-Hala will play at home against Al-Ittihad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
