Regular Season Round 2: Hertener Loewen - Hagen-Haspe 74-64

Very predictable result when Hertener Loewen (3-0) defeated at home Hagen-Haspe (1-2) 74-64 on Friday. Hertener Loewen forced 19 Hagen-Haspe turnovers. American power forward Dijon Smith (203-89, college: Ft.Hays State) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Felix Neumann (201-90) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Hertener Loewen's coach Cedric Huesken used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American point guard Jeremy Lewis (180-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Marco Braun (198-97) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Hagen-Haspe players scored in double figures. Hertener Loewen will face Dorsten (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hagen-Haspe will play against Salzkotten and hope to win that game.
