Top ranked Vivo/Franca (11-3) recorded its third loss in Sao Paulo on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Paulistano (9-4) 82-78. The best player for the winners was international forward Lucas Dias Silva (209-95) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Jhonatan Luz dos Santos (196-87) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) who recorded 14 points and 9 assists and Pedro Lima (191-87) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Paulistano have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Franca. Vivo/Franca at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Paulistano are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Osasco B. (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vivo/Franca will play against America (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
