Regular Season Round 1: TED Kolejliler - Istanbulspor 87-68

An interesting game took place in Ankara where Istanbulspor (0-1) was upset on the court of TED Kolejliler (1-0) 87-68 on Saturday. TED Kolejliler had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 assists for the winners and swingman Mert Gizir (193-94) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists. At the losing side center Ramazan Tekin (214-93) responded with 8 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TED Kolejliler will face Bandirma Kir. (#12) in Balikesir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Istanbulspor will play at home against Antalyaspor and hope to win that game.
