Regular Season Round 1: Kagawa FA - Kanazawa Sam. 67-76

Rather expected game when Kagawa FA (0-2) lost to Kanazawa Sam. (2-0) in Takamatsu 67-76 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-67. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA's coach Kohei Etoh rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kanazawa Sam. will have a break next round. Kagawa FA will play again at home against Kanazawa Sam. (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
