Regular Season Round 2: CDU Catolica - Puente Alto 64-75

Universidad Catolica (1-1) recorded a loss in Santiago on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Puente Alto (1-1) 75-64. The game was mostly controlled by Puente Alto. Universidad Catolica managed to win second period 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Puente Alto won last quarter 24-15. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Puente Alto outrebounded Universidad Catolica 45-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. American forward Aaron Ross (203-92, college: Texas Tech) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan center Jose Juan Bravo (202-86, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentinian point guard Damian Palacios (177-85) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Puente Alto will meet at home Puerto Montt in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad Catolica will play against Las Animas in Valdivia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
