Regular Season Round 2: Aomori Watts - Shinshu BW 75-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Shinshu BW's (2-0) road victory over Aomori Watts (0-2) 88-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Aomori Watts was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shinshu BW dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori Watts' 32. Shinshu BW forced 21 Aomori Watts turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) scored 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Yosuke Yosuke (184-85) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Daichi Shimoyama (181-89) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW will face Bambitious Nara at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aomori Watts will play against Gunma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
