Regular Season Round 2: MuKi - Espoo Basket 93-66

MuKi used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Espoo 93-66 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. MuKi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 Espoo Basket turnovers. MuKi looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Espoo Basket's players. Guard Pyry Marttinen (184-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 assists. Point guard Joonas Timonen (188-0) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. Forward Mikko Jantunen (192-92) replied with 18 points and guard Tuomas Laine (182-97) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Espoo Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MuKi will face Raholan Pyrkiva (#4) in Tampere in the next round. Espoo Basket will play on the road against Loimaan Korikonkarit and hope to win that game.
