Regular Season Round 3: Kanazawa Sam. - Sendai 89ers 73-70

Important game to mention about took place in Ishikawa. Kanazawa Sam. (3-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Sendai 89ers (1-3) 73-70 on Saturday evening. Sendai 89ers were trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 19-13 charge of Kanazawa Sam., which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Ide Yuji (181-88) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
